Ermita Hill is located at Brgy. Zabali. This plateau covers an area of about two hectares over looking the Pacific Ocean. It is approximately 6 kilometers from the town of Baler via Kinalapan-Cemento Road. During the Tromba Marina, a phenomenal tidal wave on December 27, 1735 swept the town of Baler. This hill served as their temporary resettlement which they called "Kinagunasan" meaning "devastated".
Ermita Hill which is also called Ermita Park serves as a tranquil sanctuary for locals and tourists. You can easily marvel at the amazing waves of the Pacific Ocean, the relaxing views of Baler Bay and Sabang Beach, the River Delta, thriving mangroves and a lot more. Also challenge yourself with 278 more steps going up to the hill to view the white cross at the topmost portion of the hill.
