36th National Milo Marathon Finals

It was my last run for the year 2012. I was really challenged to beat my old PR for 21K last June for the Manila Eliminations. Trained hard for this and excited to end up my year with a great run.

As always, I need to get up early so I won't be late. I'd rather prefer to be an early bird. Well it does pay, as I've got the chance to stroll on the activity area. Sharing with you guys how organized this event was.

Now sharing you my BIB No. and my twin medal for 21K... Hopefully by next year, I will be able to run for my first Milo Full-Marathon. I finished the race within the cut-off period of 2.5 hours so I was able to get a medal and a certificate. Loot bag was great! Full of different products. This is another reason why I do smile every time I finish a race.

now I've got two medals from Milo

freebies!

This is what I have taken after the race. Not bad, why because I am still burning calories even if I eat this fatty foods Hahaha! I might run again next year! Come let's run together!

St. Joseph Parish Church: Claveria, Cagayan

I am always fascinated every time I see a church. Now I am sharing with you my hometown parish church. St. Joseph Parish Church is located in Claveria, Cagayan. This is very memorable church for me. I grew up  in this church attending mass during Sundays. Most especially during my high school days when I served as "Knights of the Altar", the so-called "Sakristan"

Now take a closer look at the church where most of my kababayans attend mass during Sundays. So serene and got a chance to say a prayer before I took some shots. There's a lot of improvements done inside and outside. (Oh well that was couple of years ago) Take a glance at how our church looks like inside.

Here's the shot from the outside... When I was in my grade and high school days, my late grandmother thought me that every time I hear the church bell ring during 18:00, I should stop what I am doing and say a little prayer. That's a lesson learned from her and being treasured. Looking forward to visit this church once again.

Run United Philippine Marathon 2012

My first full marathon was a success. I have been training hard for this event and with all those hard work, great determination and self-motivation I was able to finish the run. It was one of my greatest achievement as a runner. Now I can proudly say that I am a full-pledged marathon runner. Self-fulfilling right?!

Official Result: Ranked: 963 out of 2072 runners
Gun Time: 05:25:04 Chip Time: 05:24:33

It was the first ever Run United Philippine Marathon (RUPM). After conquering three 21K of the Run United Trilogy, I was determined and excited to have my first 42K run successful.

Sharing my complete gear in conquering my first full marathon. Never felt so excited and nervous at the same time. Just by preparing my gear a night before the race made my adrenaline rush goes higher! I just don't even remember if I got enough sleep that night! Haha!

The run started at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig and ended up in Mall of Asia. It started on time, 03:00 in the morning! I was there as early 02:30, I always make sure I arrive on time so I will be able to stay in front and join the first wave of the run.

Take a closer look at my big medal. So proud to have this on my neck after the race. Hehe. Though it is quite heavy. Having this one at the finish line will make you forget how hard to finish that longest run I've ever had. Thanks for the great determination.

Freebies from the sponsors were not generous enough. Finisher's bag got only few pieces of medicines and a bottle of Powerade. I don't know why the previous runs gave more freebies!

The route was great though some parts especially along Roxas Blvd, bandits were on the street. No running marshal's were there enough to refrain those people running within the route. Hydration stations were properly disposed at along the route but there were not enough water supplies for us 42K runners, same with the bananas and sponges.

Rexona Run 2012

My 4th 21K was during Rexona Run 2012. (FYI: I also run last year's event.) Still waiting for my official result as of this posting date. The run was great. Well-organized. Started on time, route was new, and the relay-portion made the event more interesting. Sharing some pics I've downloaded online. Thanks for the great photographers.

I went to SM Mall of Asia as early as 02:00 for me not to be late on the event. It pays to be an early bird, right? I was there early and got the chance to took some photos on the activity area. Sharing with you guys some pictures. I was able to stroll around because it was not still crowded.

I finished the run within my target time of 2.5 hours. That's based on the timer at the finish line. I was not able to get the commemorative key chain which the cut-off hours is 2 hours but it was ok. I still need to Outrun Myself on my next runs. It was already a great achievement for me as I had my 3k last year and look at now, I am having 21K.

Finishers medal is great. It is in good quality. Aside from the finisher's medal and shirt it's more interesting to have the loot bag. All its content, was all worth it! Sponsors were really generous to give numerous freebies.

This is what's inside the bag, Rexona Deodorant for men and women, Clear Shampoo, Pepsodent, Century Corned Tuna, Master Gel, Sunsilk Co-creation, Close-up Toothpaste, Surf Fabric Conditioner, Master Facial Wash, Dove Conditioner, Ponds Facial Scrub and Whitening and Cream Silk Conditioner.

At the registration period, I've got the singlet, BIB and a deo spray. From there, the registration fee of P900.00 is already worth it. How much more after the run?! Kudos to the organizer and to Rexona for making this event possible. Will be running again next year and will outrun my previous record. Keep running everyone!

Run United 3 2012

Right after I dropped my things at home, got my running bag and went directly to Makati. I slept at friend's pad so I can catch up the 03:00 gun start of my first 32K Run for Run United 3. Luckily, Robert was free that night. It was raining heavily hard when I woke up at 02:30 and thought that the run will be cancelled but that did not stopped the organizers and the runners not to continue the last installment of the Runrio Trilogy.

I was so excited to have my first 32K run and what got me even more excited is that I can complete the medal puzzle which I started to collect early this year. Now let me show you the whole medal puzzle. I am happy I completed the pie size medal.

Official Result: 03:49:38 Gun Time, Ranked 776 out of 2,567 runners.

It was really a great challenge for me to have my first longest run ever. I can say I trained much even harder as compared when running for shorter distance. It really needs a lot of endurance training. It was all worth it. I was even injured (left knee) before running because of what happened during the activities the previous days. Check out the activity area after the run.

With my longest run ever and with those feet aching, I really deserved a heavy breakfast. This is what I've got after the run. Just don't know how I finish my order. Haha!

While having my breakfast, I was waiting for my other colleagues: Kevin, Earl and Cla, who also ran(21K). There they also enjoyed their breakfast together.

Overall, the run was great. Runrio Inc. is really a great running organizers. Though I've heard some problems regarding finisher's shirt. Hydration along the route was great including those bananas and sponges. Check out the loot bag: mostly medicines coming from Unilab.

One Finishers Shirt is already been added again in my closet. Looking forward to run next year and will complete the trilogy once again.

Sharing also the pictures while running. Taken from the website, did not know that I've got pictures there and luckily I was caught by the camera. :)
